What is personal import?
The law defines personal importation as the importation of goods into the country by an individual, not through a dealer, provided that the goods are not intended for supply, production or services and are imported in a reasonable quantity for the personal or family use of the importer.
The word "goods" means an item, including personal belongings, animals and commercial products.
Who is allowed to import?
Everyone in Israel may import goods by sending packages by mail or through courier companies under the following conditions:
* The goods made are prohibited from being imported into Israel.
* Show a license or certificate from a competent authority to proceed and required.
How are personal imports made?
Personal import can be done through direct purchase of a citizen abroad or through online ordering. The shipment can reach by sea or air.
